Family Support - Self Hired Respite Voucher Program
The In-Home Respite Voucher Program is a DCF (Division of Children and Families) funded reimbursement program supporting families in Somerset County. The family member with a disability must be between the ages of 6 and 21 and be eligible for services with the New Jersey Children’s System of Care and registered with Perform Care.
In-Home Respite offers parents and care givers an opportunity to take time off from caring for their family member with a disability, providing about 20 hours a month of support. The families have the flexibility to hire a provider of their choice who must meet DCF eligibility criteria. Families are then reimbursed for the provider's services.
